Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration
The Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration advances the profession and practice of volunteer resource management by articulating core competencies for the profession of volunteer administration, certifying individuals who demonstrate knowledge and competence in the leadership of volunteers, advancing standards of ethical practice, promoting professional development and education.
 
Virginia Service Resource Library
The Resource Library is an online library of over 200 documents related to community service, non-profit administration and volunteer management including technical assistance documents, statistics, and best practice guides.
 
Growth and Powerful Impact of Giving Circles and Shared Giving
"The number of giving circles in the U.S. doubled from 2004 to 2006--to about 400, according to a study by the Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers in Washington. Growth has continued since then: giving circles have donated $100 million over the past four years. And the ragged economy may be accelerating the trend."
 
Virginia Economic Impact Study
Johns Hopkins, in collaboration with ConnectRichmond and The Community Foundation Serving Richmond and Central Virginia, released in September the first ever Virginia nonprofit economic report, detailing the weighty role of the nonprofit sector in Virginia and its impact on the community, businesses and government.
